This 10-year-old single malt marks a significant milestone in the history of the distillery: it is our first permanent age-statement release. Crafted from spirit fully matured in hand-selected second-fill Oloroso sherry casks, a full decade in Spanish sherry oak has resulted in a delightfully sweet and sumptuous whisky – a fitting testament to the skill, dedication and patience of Wolfburn’s master distillers.
Nose: The sweetness of sherry mingles with figs and raisins, followed by a lovely touch of vanilla and oak.
Palate: The depth of flavor is enormous. Bold flavors of chocolate and dark fruits abound, with notes of caramel and vanilla, all accompanied by gentle hints of nutmeg and oak smoke.
Finish: Silky tannins create a beautifully textured finish with residual sweetness, dried fruit, and caramel flavors that linger until the very end.
